Hathor was a goddess in Ancient Egypt who personified the principles of feminine love, motherhood, and joy. She was one of the most popular and important deities throughout Ancient Egyptian history. Hathor was worshipped by both Royalty and common people, depicted in tombs as 'Mistress of the West' welcoming the deceased into the next life. She was also known as a goddess of dancing, music, foreign lands, and fertility, helping women during childbirth. As the cult of Hathor predates the historical period, the roots of devotion to her are difficult to trace.
Cold Cast is a modern method of casting sculptures using a mixture of resin and powdered polymer materials. The finished sculpture has a surface which looks very similar to traditionally cast material, but tends to be much lighter.
