This assortment of 18 muddlers and goldheads is perfect for catching trout and other sport fish. They come in a durable fly box with ripple and flat foam (as pictured).
Muddlers are made to simulate the sulpin or juvenile bullhead. The head is tied with natural deer hair and clipped into a cone shape. Deer hair is hollow, and the trapped air gives it enough buoyancy to keep the muddler off the bottom- to fish at any depth.
The weight of the brass bead on a goldhead fly keeps it very close to the bottom, where trout see and capture their prey. The light's reflection on the brass makes it easier for fish to locate, and goldheads have been known to catch other types of sport fish.
